ARTICLE INTENDED FOR:
Faculty and staff users of Starfish
INTRODUCTION:
Appointments in Starfish allow users to document narrative notes, speed notes, appointment duration (both scheduled and actual). These functions enable reporting of time and topics covered during meetings. Appointments also allow students to check in for meetings on a Starfish kiosk.
Users can choose whether appointments are on a walk-in basis within a particular time range, or scheduled for a particular student for a particular duration of time. Users can add student appointments one at a time, or can open up blocks of appointment time for students to select themselves. Additional details about online appointment scheduling is here.

The appointment will appear on the calendar owner’s Starfish calendar in the selected date and time and is visible on the calendar owner's Home page in the Appointments and Recent Changes panels.
The appointment will also appear on the Meetings tab of the student folder for anyone that has permission to view the appointment. If you included a detailed description, it will be listed on the Meetings tab.
