Resolution
Powerline networking is a middle ground between wifi and ethernet. It uses the existing power lines in your home in place of ethernet cables to provide a more reliable network connection. If you connect a device via powerline instead of wifi, it will also reduce the load on your wireless network. This is helpful for individuals in households where users are working/studying from home.
1. Purchase a powerline adapter kit of your choice and ethernet cable.
2. Follow the Powerline Setup Tutorial (3 Minutes)
Notes:
Your adapter must connect directly to an electrical outlet. Powerline adapters don’t work properly when connected to a surge protector or power strip.
Avoid power outlets managed by AFCI and GFCI breakers, as they can signficantly reduce performance.
