Staff interested in acquiring a paid GitHub Copilot license should request approval from their management and, if approved, collaborate with their unit or department's finance team to purchase a license using funds from their respective funding resources.
After purchasing an individual Copilot license, we strongly recommend that you disable the "Allow GitHub to use my data for product improvements" option. This setting can be found in the "Privacy" section of your GitHub account's Copilot settings page. Per GitHub, if this setting is enabled it will "Allow GitHub, its affiliates and third parties to use my data, including Prompts, Suggestions, and Code Snippets, for product improvements."
