Issue

My local IT support updated my version of GlobalProtect VPN and now I can't connect to it. I click "connect" and nothing happens. I've already tried restarting my computer and power cycling my router.

Environment

  • GlobalProtect VPN
  • Windows

Resolution

1. Open the GlobalProtect agent from the system tray

2. Click the GlobalProtect icon to open it and then click on the three-line hamburger menu and choose settings

3. Under Portals, click secure-connect.psu.edu, then click delete

4. If you are logged in under the Account section, click the Sign Out button as well.

5. Click the X to close the window

6. Open GlobalProtect again from the system tray, when prompted for a portal address enter secure-connect.psu.edu and click connect
