How do I set up a hotspot on my iPhone?

Environment

  • iPhone
  • WiFi + Cellular Network

Resolution

For iOS 17:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Chose Cellular 
  3. Chose Personal Hotspot or Settings
  4. Choose Personal Hotspot
  5. Toggle on the slider next to Allow Others to Join
  6. Set a password
  7. Choose Maximize Compatibility in order to switch the network from 5G Hz to 2.4GHz
