Article Intended For

PSU iLab users

Introduction

Researchers at PSU utilizing iLab to request services from a core facility must have access to a fund number. A fund number can only be assigned by a PI (principal_investigator), manager, or Department Financial Manager.

Article Body

The below instructions will help you identify what fund access you currently have in iLab. READ EACH STEP CAREFULLY.

  1. Navigate to the lab (group) you wish to identify your fund access in
    1. Login to iLab - https://psu.corefacilities.org/
      1. Note: if this is your first time you may need to register, Create an iLab Account for Internal PSU user
    2. Expand the iLab Menu in top left corner
    3. Under Manage Groups, HOVER over "My Groups"
      1. Note: if you do not see "My Groups" then you are not currently in any lab (group)
    4. Select the lab (group) you want to identify your fund access in
      1. Note: if you do not see the specific lab (group) then you are not in that lab (group) and need to request access, Request Access To A Lab (Group)

  2. On the Membership Requests & Cost Centers/Internal Orders tab, find YOUR name and make sure there is a checkmark in the box under the desired fund.
    1. Note: If you cannot view the tab or the checkmarks then you will have to contact your PI or lab manager for that lab (group) to confirm and/or grant access
