Issue
I am experieincing symptoms where there is sporadic access or perceived slowness to web resources when connected to the GlobalProtect VPN.
Environment
- Windows 11
- Windows 10
- macOS
- GlobalProtect VPN
Resolution
Please disable IPv6 to resolve these issues.
Windows 11:
- Open Settings.
- Click on Network & internet.
- Click the "Advanced network settings" option.
- Under the "Related settings" section, click the "More network adapter options" setting.
- Right-click the network adapter and choose the Properties option.
- Uncheck the "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)" option.
- Click the OK button to save changes and then restart your PC.
Windows 10:
- Go to “Settings” > “Network & Internet” > “Status.”
- Select “Change adapter options.”
- Right click on your active network adapter and select “Properties.”
- Uncheck the “Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)” checkbox to disable IPv6.
- Click on OK to save the changes and then restart your PC.
macOS:
- Go to “System preferences” > “Network.”
- Select your network and click “Advanced.”
- Click the “TCP/IP” tab.
- In the “Configure IPv6” drop-down menu, select “Link-local only.”
- Click OK and then restart your Mac.
