Issue

Some systems may not be compatable with IPv6 network connection. A work around, until the end-to-end connection is IPv6 compatable, is to disable IPv6 on the client.

Environment

macOS systems in a dual-stack(IPv4 and IPv6) environment.

Resolution

  1. Open System Preferences...
  2. Choose Network
  3. Click the Lock to make changes, enter administrative credentials
  4. Select the network interface that is being used.
  5. Click Advanced...
  6. Click TCP/IP
  7. Within the Configure IPv6 selector, choose Link-local only
