I need to find my computer name, how do I do that?

Resolution

Finding computer Name:

  • Windows 10 & 11
    1. Click on the Windows button in the bottom left
    2. Type "About"
    3. Click on "About your PC"

    4. Locate the "Full device name"

For macOS Ventura (13) and Sonoma (14)

  1. In the upper left-hand corner of your screen, select the "Apple" icon menu.

  1. Select "System Settings" from the dropdown menu.

  1. In the left-hand navigation panel Select "General".
  2. To the right of the navigation panel, in the center section click "About".
  3. Your computer name is displayed under "Name".

For macOS Monterey (12) and older

  1. In the upper left-hand corner of your screen, select the "Apple" icon menu.

  1. Select "System Preferences..." from the dropdown menu.

  1. Your computer name is at the top of the page, next to "Computer Name".
