Issue
I'm not able to connect to the internet after enabling the GlobalProtect VPN.
Environment
- Windows
- Mac
- GlobalProtect VPN
Resolution
Some users have experienced connection issues after switching to the GlobalProtect VPN. Please check the following to ensure you are meeting all requirements.
- The computer Operating System needs to be up to date.
- GlobalProtect requires the use of an anti-virus program to be installed on the computer where it is running
- Virus Definitions must be up-to-date and have active monitoring enabled.
- To acquire a compatible anti-virus program, visit: Anti-Virus Software and select an option from the list under the ‘Students’ section
- Currently, for Mac the only free option with "active monitoring" is Avast
- You must be disconnected from all other VPNs, including Cisco AnyConnect VPN and/or Barracuda VPN
- Please make sure the Barracuda VPN is uninstalled. Even if you disconnect from it, you still won't be able to connect to the GlobalProtect VPN, without removing it first.
