Introduction

Instructions for making a request for an IO number to be added to your lab in iLab. A request has to be put in for any non-sponsored budget to be available in iLab.

The PI or lab manager must follow the following (to make a lab manager Manage Memberships):

If this is your first time logging in, here are instructions to Create an iLab Account for Internal PSU user, you will select your lab when asked which lab.

 

1. Navigate to your iLab group site

2.Make sure you are the PI or lab manager

   

 

 

3. Go to the Membership Requests & Cost Centers/Internal Orders tab.

    Expand the Request access to additional Cost Center or Internal Orders blue text

    Enter the Cost Center (a 10 digit number) OR Internal Order (a 12 digit number) - Internal Order is the most common type

    Click Request - it may take a moment

   

 

 

4. You will see a new box showing the request and fund owner - the fund owner will get an email notification

    You will get an email notification when the fund is approved - this is dependent on how quickly the fund owner responds to the activity

   

 

 

5. IF YOU ARE NOT THE FUND OWNER SKIP TO STEP 7

    If you are the fund owner, navigate to the View Funds page

   

 

 

6. Click Approve only for your fund request

   

 

 

7. When the fund has been approved

    Navigate to your group lab

    Go to the Membership Requests & Cost Centers/Internal Orders tab.

    Expand the Cost Centers/Internal Orders blue text

   

 

 

8. Click the Checkbox next to lab members that need access to the fund
