How do I set up my email in the Mail app on iOS?

Environment

  • iOS 10.0 or later
  • Mail app

Resolution

  1. Open the Mail app.
  2. Tap "Add Account".
  3. Tap "Microsoft Exchange".
  4. Type your FULL Penn State email address (userID@psu.edu).
  5. Type a description (Whatever you wish, PSU email, Office 365, etc).
  6. Tap "Next".
  7. Tap "Sign In".
  8. If prompted, choose "Work or Student" account.
  9. At the Penn State Login page, enter your Penn State Access Account userID followed by @psu.edu and your password.
  10. Authenticate with 2FA, if prompted.
  11. At the "Are you trying to sign in to Apple Internet Accounts?", click "Continue".
  12. By default, Mail, Reminders, and Notes will be enabled.
    1. Enable Contacts and Calendars by sliding the toggle to the "On" position for each.
  13. Click "Save".
