Update the Recovery Email Address for Your Penn State Account

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Log in to the Penn State Account Management website at accounts.psu.edu.
2. Under Account, choose Personal Information.
3. Click Email Address to expand that section; then click the pencil icon or plus sign (+) next to Recovery Email Address. 
4. Enter or update the email address you want Penn State to use as a secondary contact and click UPDATE.

Additional Tips

• Be sure that the email address you provide:
  
  • Is entered correctly, without typos,Be sure that the email address you provide:
  • Includes @ and the provider (Example: joe_shmoe@gmail.com),
  • Is not a Penn State email address (Example: js123@psu.edu), and
  • Is one you can readily access.
    
    
• If the email address you provide is a Comcast (xFinity) account:
  
  • Your spam filtering preferences must be set to Save a Copy of Emails Marked as Spam for you to receive the emails from Penn State Account Management.
