Article Intended For

GlobalProtect VPN Users on Managed Penn State Computers.

Personally owned and other PSU unmanaged computer assets are not impacted.

Article Body

PSU owned and managed computers that have an EAD Computer Certificate installed may see a prompt to select a certificate when connecting to the GlobalProtect VPN.

Currently, Managed Penn State computers can see a prompt presented for various reasons that can include hostname changes, or new computer certificates being issued to the machine.  This issue can impact both Mac and Windows managed computers.

Upon connecting to the VPN if a prompt for certificate selection is presented, as shown in the following examples, a certificate selection must be made to proceed.  The certificate should match the computer name and be issued from Penn State.  If you are presented with more than one option choose the certificate that matches the computer name. Once a certificate is selected click connect or continue to complete login.
