Article Intended For

This article is intended for Penn State faculty and staff who teach or manage courses in Canvas.

Introduction

According to the Penn State Canvas Course Archiving Policy, Canvas courses will remain available on the Canvas Dashboard for one year after the end of the academic semester in which the course was offered. After that year, the course will be archived by default and removed from the Canvas Dashboard and All Courses list. Users with the Teacher role can self-restore archived courses. Follow the steps below to self-restore an archived course.
