Issue
I (or the support agent I'm working with) want to delete GlobalProtect's DAT files to see if that enables GlobalProtect to connect again.
Environment
- macOS
- GlobalProtect was connecting successfully, but now it isn't
Resolution
If GlobalProtect is no longer connecting successfully, one troubleshooting step that might help is to delete all DAT files from the directories shown below. Though not common, connection problems are occasionally caused by corrupted DAT files. In such cases, deleting the DAT files can resolve the issue by forcing GlobalProtect to create new ones. DAT files have filenames that end in ".dat".
- /Library/Application Support/PaloAltoNetworks/GlobalProtect/ (Note that administrative privileges are required to modify the contents of this directory.)
- /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/PaloAltoNetworks/GlobalProtect/ (where "<username> is your username on the device)
