I need to install SPSS on my computer.

Environment

  • SPSS

Resolution

  1. Please make sure computer meets the system requirements
  2. If your computer meets requirements, install SPSS through the Penn State Software Store
    3. If your computer doesn't meet requirements, you may use SPSS through Web Labs.

Note: License information is sent to you via your Penn State email. Please reference this email for license information and hold on to this email. 


Setting up and Using SPSS on Windows 7, 8 and 10

  1. Go to https://softwarerequest.psu.edu click “Penn State” and sign in than click “Browse All Titles”
  2. Search for SPSS in the search bar
  3. Click “Order SPSS-AMOS v27”



  1. Agree to the terms and press “Order” again
  1. Select the operating system you are running from the list (for Windows select “Windows(64)”).



  1. Navigate to your downloads folder on your computer and click the setup file




  1. Go through the setup screen and make sure that you agree to all license terms and keep pressing next then “Install”


  1. On the screen with the “Finish” button make sure that the box is checked that says “Start SPSS Statistics 26 License Authorization Wizard now” then click “Finish”.





 



  1. Once the window opens make sure that “Authorized user license” is selected and click “Next”


  1. It will prompt you to enter a license code. There will be an email sent with the license code to your Penn State email. Use the code under the “SPSS Code” header in the email and click “Next”


  1. The product will then be activated and IBM SPSS Statistics will be ready to use
