This article explains what to do when you get a new phone to replace a phone that's currently enrolled for use with two-factor authentication.

New phone has same number
Both phones are smartphones
- Don't need to enroll new phone.
- No additional action required to use phone call or SMS text methods of authentication with your new phone.
- To use Duo Push or Duo Passcodes, install the Duo Mobile app on your new phone.
Both phones are non-smartphones
- Don't need to enroll new phone.
- No additional action required to use phone call or SMS text methods of authentication.
One phone is a smartphone, the other is not
- You must first unenroll the old phone; then enroll the new one.
- If you have access to another enrolled device you may enroll your new phone yourself.
- If don't have access to an enrolled device other than your old phone, call the IT Service Desk for assistance.
