Introduction

There are multiple ways to launch your live Zoom class meetings, including the Zoom menu option in Canvas, a web browser, or the Zoom desktop client. You must sign in to your Penn State Zoom account to ensure you are able to enter your meeting since your professor may have enabled security settings that require it.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Sign in to Zoom

If the security feature has been enabled, you will see the following pop-up. Click Sign in to Join.

Click Sign in to Join

Click Sign in with SSO.

Click Sign in with SSO

Enter psu in the Company Domain field and click Continue.

On the WebAccess screen, enter your User ID and Password and then click LOG IN.

You are now signed in to your Penn State account.

 

Join Your Zoom Class Meeting

There are three options for entering your live Zoom class meeting.

  1. From Canvas:
    1. Click Zoom from the Course Navigation menu on the left.

      Select Zoom from the Navigation Menu

    2. Locate the class meeting and click Join.

      Click the Join button for your meeting

    3. Click Open Zoom to launch the meeting.

      Click the Open Zoom button

  2. From a web browser:
    1. Paste the meeting link into the address bar of your web browser and press Enter.

      Enter the meeting URL in the address bar

    2. Click Open Zoom to launch the meeting.

      Click the Open Zoom button

  3. From the Zoom desktop client:
    1. Click the Join button in the Zoom desktop client.

      Click the Join button in the desktop client

    2. Enter the meeting link or ID into the meeting ID field and click Join to launch the meeting.

      NOTE: If you enter the meeting link, Zoom automatically extracts the meeting ID.

      Enter the Meeting ID and click Join
