How do I connect to a Liberal Arts computer with Remote Desktop?

Resolution
Prerequisites
- GlobalProtect must be installed and running
- If remote access has never been requested, please fill-out this form Liberal Arts Remote Desktop Access Request
Windows
- GlobalProtect must be running
- Search your computer for Remote Desktop
- In the Computer field, type your computer name Example: L2ITLA-WT0000.ad.psu.edu
- Click "show options" button in the bottom left corner of the Remote Desktop Connection window
- Add your Penn State username into the username field Example: PSU\abc123
- Click “Connect”
Mac
- GlobalProtect must be running
- Search your computer for Remote Desktop
- You may need to go to the Apple Store and download Microsoft Remote Desktop
- Click on the + symbol and Add PC
- In the PC name field, type your computer name Example: L2ITLA-WT0000.ad.psu.edu
- Click on the “User Account” drop-down field and select “Add user account”
- Add your Penn State username into the username field Example: PSU\abc123
- The password field is optional. This is your Penn State password (WebAccess Password)
- A friendly name is optional as well but useful if you are connecting to multiple machines
- Click the “ Add” button
- Double click the computer you just created to open the connection
