Penn State students/faculty/staff using Adobe Creative Cloud 2019 software, specifically on Penn State lab and classroom computers.

Introduction

The latest version of Adobe Creative Cloud employs a new licensing structure, requiring some additional steps to use Adobe Creative Cloud applications (including Acrobat).

This document describes how to Sign In to use Adobe Creative Cloud applications as well as how to address frequently encountered error messages.

In order to use Adobe Creative Cloud 2019 applications on Penn State lab and classroom computers, you must first sign in with an Adobe Enterprise ID.

For more information about obtaining an Adobe Enterprise ID, visit https://adobe.psu.edu.

Sign In To An Adobe Creative Cloud Application On A Lab Or Classroom Computer

  1. Open any Adobe Creative Cloud application (e.g., Adobe Photoshop CC)
  2. Enter "username@psu.edu" and click Sign In.
    • Note: If prompted to select between an Adobe ID or an Enterprise ID, select Enterprise ID.
  3. When redirected to the Penn State Web Access prompt, enter your Penn State Access ID credentials and click Log In.
  4. Proceed to use the selected software.

 Note: If you need to use additional Adobe Creative Cloud applications and have already signed in, you do not have to sign in again.

Frequently Encountered Error Messages

In some cases, you may receive an error message while using Adobe Creative Cloud 2019 applications.

You receive a “Sorry, something went wrong" error message.

You may receive the following error message after opening an Adobe Creative Cloud application and signing in:

If you receive this message, do the following:

  1. Close the Adobe Creative Cloud application.
  2. Click Start -> Media -> Adobe Creative Cloud.
  3. Follow the steps above to Sign In To An Adobe Creative Cloud Application On A Lab Or Classroom Computer.
  4. Re-launch the desired Adobe Creative Cloud application. 

You receive an "Access Denied" error message.

You may receive the following error message after opening an Adobe Creative Cloud application and signing in:

 

access denied

If you receive this message, you likely do not have an Adobe Enterprise ID.

An Adobe Enterprise ID is required to use Adobe Creative Cloud applications on Penn State lab and classroom computers. For more information about obtaining an Adobe Enterprise ID, visit https://adobe.psu.edu.
