Issue
When I try to log in to an application with my Penn State account, a little window (dialog box) pops up that says: "Need admin approval. [Name of application] needs permission to access resources in your organization that only an admin can grant. Please ask an admin to grant permission to this app before you can use it. Have an admin account? Sign in with that account OR Return to the application without granting consent."
Environment
Any new website or web application hosted by Microsoft Azure.
Resolution
- Use the WebSSO General Request Form to report the issue.
- Under TYPE OF REQUEST, choose Resolve "Need Admin Approval" issue for an application.
- In the ADDITIONAL INFORMATION field, indicate the exact name of the application displayed in the Microsoft "Need Admin Approval" dialog box.
- If possible, attach a screenshot of the "Need Admin Approval" pop-up dialog box, which looks like this:
