Issue
I successfully installed the wireless profile from wireless.psu.edu, but still cannot connect to the wi-fi. When I try to connect to the psu network, a pop-up appears asking for my username and password. After I enter my credentials, the pop-up keeps appearing and doesn't let me connect to the wi-fi.
Environment
- Windows 10
- SecureW2 Wireless Profile
Resolution
Locate the SecureW2 icon in your toolbar. You may need to click the "^" button to expand the menu.
Right-click on the SecureW2 icon, and click "Configuration manager."
If prompted, authorize SecureW2 to make changes to your computer.
In the menu that appears, click the "Configure" button.
In the pop-up that appears, click "User account."
Adjust the following settings on this screen:
- Uncheck "Prompt for user credentials"
- Enter your Penn State username (e.g., xyz1234)
- Enter your Penn State password
- Check "Use this account to logon computer"
- Click "OK"
If pop-ups persist after making these changes, restart your computer and try again.
If pop-ups still persist after restarting, reinstall your wireless profile.
