How do I request Adobe Creative Cloud? How do I request Adobe Acrobat Pro?

Environment

  • Web browser
  • Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Active Faculty, Staff, or Student affiliation

Resolution

Access to the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite is reserved for those using these tools in academic or job-related functions. The following steps outline how to request access to this tool.

Requesting Access

  1. Visit the Software Request Portal
  2. Select "Penn State" and sign in using your PSU account
  3. Search for 'Adobe' and choose the appropriate option, then "Order" or "Reorder," the software you are requesting
  4. Review and agree to the conduct statement and complete the following:
    • Students & Faculty: Choose the class requiring use of this software or select "Other" and provide a justification
    • Staff: Provide a justification for your use of the software
  5. Complete the order by selecting the order button
  6. Once complete, verify that you have received an order confirmation in your Penn State email
    • You will receive separate emails for the order request and request approval. Approval reviews are completed within four hours of ordering during normal business hours, M-F 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
  7. If you have previously installed Adobe, you may not need to re-install, first try signing out and back in: How to sign out of Adobe CC and Sign Back In
  8. For assistance installing the Creative Cloud app after receiving approval, see: How do I Install Adobe CC?

Renewing Access

  • Students:
    • Penn State requires students to request a license for Adobe Creative Cloud on a semester-by-semester basis. See the steps above in 'Requesting Access'.
  • Faculty:
    • All current Adobe Creative Cloud faculty license holders will keep their existing license until they change their faculty affiliation or leave the University. Beginning May 2025, any faculty member who requests a new Adobe Creative Cloud license will be required to affirm their use of the application. See the steps above in 'Requesting Access'.
  • Staff:
    • Those employees who require Adobe Creative Cloud for their essential job functions, will need to have manager approval via the Annual Access Certification in IdentityIQ (IIQ) to retain a license.
