Introduction

This article provides instructions on how to share your screen in Zoom and preventing unauthorized people from sharing their screen.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow these instructions to start a screen share meeting.

To prevent unauthorized people from sharing their screen:

  1. Go to your Zoom settings.
  2. Select In Meeting (Basic) on the left side of the screen.
  3. Scroll down to Screen sharing.
  4. Under Who can share, select Host Only.
  5. Then Save.

Under ‘Who can share?’ select Host Only, and then Save.
Figure 1: Under ‘Who can share?’ select Host Only, and then Save.

Now, the host is the only person who can share their screen or content during meetings.

Note: Another option is to choose All Participants can share under ‘Who can share,’ and then under ‘Who can start sharing when someone else is sharing,’ select Host Only, this will prevent anyone from sharing until the Host approves.
