Introduction
A Host Information Profile (HIP) notification is presented to users who are using an unsupported version of the GlobalProtect agent software. This Knowledge Base article describes the following:

Why am I seeing this "Unsupported Agent Version" notification?
If you receive one of these notifications, it means the version of GlobalProtect running on your computer is out of date and no longer supported. Out-of-date versions may cause issues or contain security vulnerabilities.
Notification with a yellow banner
This notification indicates that your version of GlobalProtect is out of date, but access to Penn State resources is not being restricted.
Notification with a red banner
This notification indicates that your version of GlobalProtect is dangerously out of date. To mitigate security vulnerabilities, access to the Penn State network and to the internet via the VPN is being restricted.
How do I resolve this issue?
Update your computer to the supported version of GlobalProtect. You can download the supported version of the GlobalProtect agent for your device from the Software Request website. (For help, see How do I Download and Install GlobalProtect?)
