Emergency and Missing Persons Contact Information Disclaimer

Emergency and missing persons contact information is only to be accessed when there is a true emergency involving a Penn State student. All Pennsylvania State University policies and applicable Federal and State laws must be followed by all users. All activities within LionPATH are logged, monitored, and audited. Any user who violates security regulations or makes unauthorized use of LionPATH and data will have their access removed and are subject to appropriate disciplinary action.

Please note: Data access is restricted to Student Affairs administrators and Chief of Police per policy SY03 (https://guru.psu.edu/policies/SY03.html). Before you can access emergency and missing student contact information, you must have access to LionPATH and have the PE CC Emrgncy Missng Contact security role to run the queries. If you do not have either level of access, your manager must submit an access request via IdentityIQ (IIQ). LionPATH Queries for Emergency and Missing Persons Contact Information

Emergency and missing persons contact information is available via queries in LionPATH, Penn State’s student information system. Descriptions for the emergency and missing persons contact information queries are listed below. You can jump to each query’s dedicated knowledge base article by clicking on the query name link.

  • PE_RP_ECIS_BY_ATTRIBUTE: This query allows searching by PSU ID, Campus ID, Last Name, First Name, Gender, and Campus. The query also contains a toggle to search for only active (default) or active and inactive students.
  • PE_RP_ECIS_BY_COURSE_BLDG: Class list search by Campus and Building and then Room, Class, Location and/or Day. Student information is provided only after clicking into a class number found within query result(s).
  • PE_RP_ECIS_BY_COURSE_BLDG_IDS: Class list search by Campus and Building and then Room, Class, Location and/or Day. Student information is provided within the query results.
  • PE_RP_ECIS_BY_COURSE_BLDG_URL: Search by Class Nbr (number) only
  • PE_RP_ECIS_BY_LOCAL_ADDRESS: Search by off-campus local address information. The query also contains a toggle to search for only active (default) or active and inactive students.
  • PE_RP_ECIS_CONTACT_INFO: This query will display after a student ID is clicked within the other Emergency Contact queries. If the student ID is known, this query also serves as a quick way to find a specific student’s emergency and missing persons (if provided) contact information.

Log into LionPATH

  1. From an internet browser, navigate to https://lionpath.psu.edu to log into LionPATH.
  2. Enter your Penn State email address and click Next.
  3. Enter your Penn State password and click Sign In.
  4. Approve sign in request via your default sign-in method.

LionPATH Query Viewer

  1. After logging into LionPATH, navigate to Classic Home.
  2. Click Navigator.
  3. Click Reporting Tools.
  4. Click Query.
  5. Click Query Viewer.
  6. In the Search by Query Name begins with prompt, type PE_RP_ECIS.
  7. Click Search.
  8. Click the HTML link to open the specific query.
