Issue
I (or the support agent I'm working with) want to try deleting the DAT files to see if that enables GlobalProtect to connect again.
Environment
- macOS
- GlobalProtect has successfully connected your device to the Penn State network in the past but is no longer doing so
Resolution
If GlobalProtect is no longer connecting properly, one troubleshooting step that might help is to delete all DAT files from the directories shown below. Though not common, connection problems are occasionally caused by corrupted DAT files. In such cases, deleting the DAT files can resolve the issue by forcing GlobalProtect to create new ones. DAT files have file names that end in ".dat".
- /Library/Application Support/PaloAltoNetworks/GlobalProtect/ (Note that administrative privileges are required to modify the contents of this directory.)
- /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/PaloAltoNetworks/GlobalProtect/ (where "<username> is your username on the device)
