For all fields that display help text, the help text appears as you hover over the icon.
Title: Using the PSU Access ID Lookup Feature
Text: A valid PSU Access ID (example: abc123) is required, and should be entered prior to proceeding through the form. To confirm the validity of the entered access ID, please press enter, tab, or click on the search icon. If found, the application will populate other fields in this section on the form.
Title: Using the PI Administering Department Lookup Feature
Text: This field will pre-populate based on the PSU Access ID entered above, however, the default department can be changed if needed. To select a different department, this field offers “find as you type” functionality, enabling a pick list of options to choose from after entering in a minimum of 3 characters. Please note, that only 15 items are shown at any given time. If you cannot find the department you are looking for, continue to type to refine the results.
Once the desired department appears in the pick list, please select the item to ensure it validates correctly.
Title: Using Company Name Lookup Feature
Text: This field is required, but unlike other lookup fields on this form, does not require validation prior to submission. This field offers “find as you type” functionality, enabling a pick list of options to choose from after entering in a minimum of 3 characters. Please note, that only 15 items are shown at any given time. Companies can be searched by name or company abbreviation (example: IBM). To further refine the results, please continue typing until the company you are searching for is found.
If you are searching for a company that does not exist in SIMS, please type the name in completely, and provide the required details below.
Title: Using the PSU Access ID Lookup Feature
Text: The first row of the confidential access list is reserved for the PI entered above. The PI is added by default to the confidential access list. To add additional users to the confidential access list, please use the "Add" button to create new rows. To remove users, please use the "Delete" button to delete rows.
In order to successfully add users to the confidential access list, you must provide a valid PSU Access ID (example: abc123). To confirm the validity of the entered access ID, please press enter or tab. If found, the application will populate the identified person's name.
