LP: LionPath Opt-in for Late Drop and Withdrawal Notifications (eff 2/20/2025)

Introduction

 

Beginning 2/20/2025, faculty will be able to opt-in to receive notifications when a student Late Drops or Withdraws. Faculty will only receive the notification if they are assigned as the Primary Instructor in LionPATH and have opted-in to receive notifications. When opted in they will receive an email notification every time a student late drops or withdraws from a class in which they are identified as the primary instructor.

Opt-in to Notifications

To opt-in to notifications, use the My Schedule page in Faculty Home Base. For an overview of navigating to Faculty Home Base, see LionPATH Faculty Home Base.

Click on the Opt-in to Notifications link found in the box on the right side of the screen.

The link opens an Opt-in to Notifications page. On this page, faculty can choose to opt-in to Withdrawal notifications, Late Drop Notifications or both. The default is set to not opt-in. Faculty will need to choose to opt-in. This is not per class or per semester, but for all classes and every semester.

This is a screen shot of the page that shows after the Opt-in to Notifications is clicked. The header is Opt-in to Notifications. The sub header is Available notifications. Text below is By selecting one or more of these available notifications, you are opting to receive an email when an action is taken by a student in one of your classes. You may change these preferences at any time. Then there is a table with 3 columns. The first has no header, but cells below are numbered. The next column is titled Notification Description. The two options listed are Student Withdrawal Notification and Student Late Drop Notification. The last column is titled Opt-in. The cells below have boxes below that can be checked to opt-in. The picture shows the default setting of opted-out so the boxes are empty.

Click the button next to the notifications you would like to receive. Click OK to save. This action will also take you back to Faculty Home Base. Click Cancel if you do not desire to make any changes.

Example Late Drop Notification:

Example Withdrawal Notification:
