Article Intended For

Faculty, staff, and students who wish to locate, edit, embed, or publish their Zoom cloud recordings from within Kaltura.

Introduction

Zoom is Penn State's video and web conferencing service that allows you to engage in multi-person video or audio meetings using software installed on your computer, without the need for dedicated video conferencing hardware. Kaltura is Penn State's enterprise-level, cloud-based media management platform for storing, publishing, and streaming videos, video collections, and other media, such as images and audio files.

With the integration between Zoom and Kaltura, all your Zoom cloud recordings are automatically uploaded to Kaltura. This allows you to locate, edit, embed, and share all your Zoom cloud recordings from within Kaltura.

This article will show you how to match your Zoom cloud recordings to the corresponding recording in Kaltura.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Rename Zoom Cloud Recordings in Kaltura

Your recording's default name will be the same as the topic of the Zoom meeting from which the recording was made. You may wish to rename the recording with a more descriptive name so you can easily distinguish it from other cloud recordings made from the same Zoom meeting. To rename the item:

  1. To the right of your recording's thumbnail image, click Edit.
  2. In the Name field, modify the recording's name.
  3. Enter a description and/or tags, as desired.
