CRCS: Submit a Proposal to Add an Undergraduate Major Program in Curriculum: 3 Program Definition

In this step, you will determine entrance and retention requirements for the new major. Entrance and retention requirements must meet the criteria defined by the Guide to Curricular Procedures.

  1. From the Entrance And/Or Retention to Major drop-down menu, select YES or NO.
    NOTE: If you select yes, an additional form is required for submission outside of the CRCS. (See the Majors section in the Guide to Curricular Procedures).
  2. From the Degree Offered drop-down menu, select the degree.
  3. From the Effective Semester drop-down menu, select the semester.
  4. From the Effective Year drop-down menu, select the effective year.
  5. If the proposed major will have options, from the Number of Options drop-down list, select the number of options. If you select two or more options, Name of Option fields will display in which you must enter the name of each option.

  6. In the College(s) to Offer This Program section, select the check box for each college offering the program.

  7. Click Next.
