Article Body
Be sure to complete the following checklist to ensure your Canvas exam is ready for the Pollock Testing Center. See the Links section below for step-by-step instructions.
Checklist:
- Choose your desired Canvas course and use the Canvas quiz tool to create the exam.
- The title of the exam must match the title used when scheduling with Pollock (i.e. Exam2_SCM301_Fa18).
- Add an access code (password) to the exam settings to prevent students from early access.
- Set the availability (start and end) dates in the exam settings.
- Set the start time for 7:45 a.m. E.T. on the day of the exam.
- Modify the exam (if requested) to allow extra time for individual students.
NOTE: You may need to publish the exam to make modifications.
- Consider the following OPTIONAL quiz settings:
- Uncheck the "Let students see their quiz responses" check box to restrict students from seeing answers before others finish the exam.
- Mute the exam in the Gradebook so students cannot see their results until others finish the exam.
- Add resources (calculator, embedded PDF files, media) that students can access during the exam.
NOTE: Do not restrict student access to files or media added to exams.
- Ensure no IP address filters have been added to the exam settings.
- Verify the exam is unpublished.
- Publish the Module that contains the exam, if applicable.
NOTE: Pollock Testing Center staff cannot access an exam within an unpublished module.
- Schedule the exam date with the Pollock Test Center at least five business days in advance.
